"No Win No Fee" means that you will not receive a bill from us unless, and until, you receive compensation.
It is only at the end of your successful claim that we will seek reimbursement from you of the expenses we have paid on your behalf (such as obtaining medical reports to support your claim) and payment of our fees.
We are aware that our larger competitors are charging in the vicinity of $500 to $800 per hour (plus GST), plus an Uplift Fee of 25% on top of that hourly rate. An Uplift Fee is allowed in Queensland and represents the lengthy duration of non-payment and the speculative nature of the case, being a "No Win No Fee" case. This means that once the 25% Uplift Fee is added on, you could be paying in the vicinity of $625 to $1000 per hour!
Unlike most other personal injury law firms, at the end of our "No Win No Fee" cases, we do not charge a 25% Uplift Fee. In fact, we do not charge any Uplift Fee.
In addition to this, we publish and promote the fact that our hourly rate is $400.00 (plus GST), which we are almost 100% certain is the most competitive hourly rate for a Personal Injury Lawyer on the Sunshine Coast.
Most lawyers will not publish on their website or tell you over the phone their hourly rate until AFTER they have met with you face-to-face and you are obliged to go with them. This should serve as a "warning sign" to any prudent consumer of legal services.
We are able to offer such affordable and reasonable rates because our outgoings are significantly lower than large national firms who spend big on advertising campaigns (TV, radio and billboards). At the end of the day, and at the end of your claim, it is you and your compensation which is paying extra for those big advertising campaigns.
The simple fact is the Sunshine Coast is too small to have an unhappy customer. We work very hard to ensure we have satisfied clients. Our clients become our friends and will often stay in touch after their case has finished. These clients become our strongest supporters in the community by referring others.
If you would like to ask us any questions in relation to our "No Win No Fee" policy or any questions about our fees in general, we are completely transparent, please contact our office.
